History

God’s Legacy Ranch goes back to my first-grade memories.  While walking to and from school together with my best friend David, I distinctly remember the smells, joy, and delightful experiences from spending time with his family and farm animals.  From that day forward, it has been a dream to have our own farm.  

As empty nesters, Bly and I began praying about how God would use our gifts, talents, and farm to give back to the community sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and glorifying the name of God.  While preparing for work one morning I was listening to James Dobson and guests Kim and Troy Meader, co-founders of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch. 

The testimonies of Kim and Troy brought on a significant emotional experience and an onslaught of tears to my eyes.  I knew without a doubt that God gave me a vision.  With much prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit, I felt led to share the vision with Bly.  She let me know very quickly I was crazy, we had no experience with horses, and on top of that, our children were prodigal, and my mother with Alzheimer’s was living with us.  

With God’s Grace, Wisdom, Discernment, Prayer, and reading books written by Kim and Troy Meader Bly’s transformation was becoming apparent.  We attended a weeklong Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch training session for similar ministries in Bend Oregon and commenced our God led journey.  

God’s Legacy Ranch is extremely grateful to Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch and Hope Remains Youth Ranch for their assistance and a common vision given to each of us through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
